Randolph's faerie hound was offered as a boon to Randolph for saving Princess Muriel. It is a lymer, a heavy-jowled dog similar to the modern bloodhound, bred and trained to track silently and relentlessly by scent.
Appearance
Amadán looks like a cross between a bloodhound and a mastiff, but is considerably larger than a mundane lymer and has unnatural coloring: a milk-white coat and red ears.
Statistics
Although Amadán has a character sheet as a grog, it is not an intelligent creature. For simplicity, it doesn't accrue Experience Points or advance as a character.
Use the statistics for the Magical Hound on page 31 of Realms of Power: Magic, with the following changes:
- Change Magic Might to Faerie Might
- Increase Perception to +3
Amadán's Inexorable Hunter power means that once it picks up a scent, it won't lose it (for Sun Duration) unless the effect fails to penetrate. The power is unreliable at best in a Divine Aura.
