Hubert de Barbes is a senior Tremere magus, the founder and leader of the covenant of Cercle Cassée. He has a young filia named Constance.

Reputation

  • Ruthless 2 (general)
  • Colludes with Mundanes 3 (Hermetic)

de Barbes has alliances with Norman barons and knights and with at least a couple of important churchmen: abbots and maybe even a bishop. This is considered unseemly by the Order of Hermes.

Personality

Hubert de Barbes is brash and demanding. Magi say he has spent too much time associating with the warlike and entitled Norman nobles and has picked up their least endearing personality traits. His aggressive demeanor might lead one to believe that he lacks the subtlety necessary for intrigue, but his accomplishments strongly suggest that impression is mistaken.

Magic

de Barbes is highly proficient in Intellego and Perdo Vim, as one might expect from a demon-hunter. He is also pretty good with Mentem spells, which is necessary for investigations.
