Gweir filus of Manawydan fab Llŷr was a member of the Wizards' Council of Stranggore from 800-824 AD. Not wanting to renounce his allegiance to the Heirs of Stranggore, left the covenant, bringing his filia and a number of covenfolk of like mind. They moved to an island off the coast of Cornwall.
