Background

The self proclaimed Bard of Somerset, he makes a comfortable living entertaining the wealthy elite of Somerset as a wandering minstrel.

Who is Willliam Robert the Bard of Somerset?

What he does? (Who he is)

Travels around entertaining nobles and subtly blackmailing them.

Why he does it? (Motive, Personality)

Being in the company of powerful people makes him feel powerful especially when he can manipulate them.

What made him do it? (Past)

His mother, now dead, was the nursemaid to the Lord of Bristol and he was raised in and among the court always second in importance to his mother's noble charges. He does not know his father and jokes that his mother gave him two first names after his father, either William or Robert.

What do people think of him? (Reputation, Status, Social Class)

A talented minstrel who is welcome in court for he brings interesting rumors, stories, and song.

What are his Habits?

He lives day to day, always moving on before his welcome ends. He pretends to be more blind than he really is.

What are his Talents?

Composing original songs for his patrons and subtly blackmailing them into buying an embarrassing song or paying him to promote a song which makes them look good.

What does he like? (Tastes)

He loves music and he loves praise. He enjoys good food, cheer, and the company of women.

What does he look like? (Body)

A large hooked nose, bushy mustache and no chin to speak of. He dresses handsomely and always has his lyre, recorder, and drum handy.
