Michael Wendsworth of House Jerbiton is a former magus of Stranggore (1020-1171). He was skilled in Corpus and Mentem and had a particular, some would say obsessive, interest in the magical properties of gemstones.

Departure

Like many of his House, Wendsworth believed that eternal Wizards' Twilight would bar the magus's soul from entering heaven. When in 1171, at the age of 187, his Longevity Ritual failed, he chose not to make another, though it would probably have been within his abilities to do so. He set his affairs in order, bequeathed most of his magical property to his filii, fell ill that winter and died about three weeks later.

Wendsworth is buried in the parish churchyard in Shepton Mallet. His tombstone shows only his date of death, not his date of birth, as is customary for magi who are buried among mundanes.
