Travelling from place to place varies based on various conditions such as the road, the weather, and the well-being of the travellers. Generally one can walk about 3 miles per hour on a good road in good weather while unencumbered and uninjured, or about 30 miles. England rarely has good roads or good weather so most travel is about 2 miles per hour, or about 20 miles a day. The season also affect the amount of daylight one has which in turn affects how far one can go without added risk. Travel by horseback is faster, about 30 miles a day, and allows one to travel while encumbered.

Stranggore and Barstow are less then a mile apart.
