Osric was a bandit slain by Caballus, Sandre, and several grogs. He raided and burned many towns, and the Norman nobles couldn't manage to catch him. Many stories surfaced that he was aided by magic, and possibly the Devil himself because the weather always seemed to help him escape.

During the adventure in which Osric was slain, a fog grew up around the magi and their grogs, giving the bandits an advantage of surprise from which to charge. Sandre suspects the fog was magically created but has no proof.
