Summary - James the Black is approached by Argus who through his Watcher contact learns that evil was stirring at Tingtal Castle, one of the Six Hallows. He brought along what servant he could muster including Rhys, Gwendolyn, and Thomas. There worth was challenged by the four ghosts who stand vigil over the castle. James and Thomas passed the trial of combat but Rhys was knocked flat with one blow. This provoke Gwendolyn to great acts of courage and she fought valiantly earning the Ghosts approval. Entry into the Regeo was made via magic and there they discovery dragon tracks. A plot was made to ambush the dragon involving a boulder deadfall and a large magic circle to entrap the beast. Also smaller circles were cast around the perimeter to provide shelter from the beast. The beast nimbly avoided both traps and James was under grave attack from the beast when Thomas slayed the beast with what must have been a divinely influenced shot. The beast destroyed the body of Baldric was taken, along with the Judas money paid for betraying his masters, and buried in a Christian manner so God can judge him. Much praise was given to Thomas in the telling of this adventure furthering his reputation as a God-gifted archer.
