Blackbury is a hamlet about three days' walk from Stranggore. It was the setting for the story, The Butcher of Blackbury, in Autumn 1194.

Blackbury is a tiny hamlet of seven or eight houses, bounded by forest on two sides and fields on the other two. A foot path runs through the middle of it and parallel to the foot path is a mill-stream. Unusually for a hamlet of its size, Blackbury has its own mill, albeit a small and ramshackle one.

The reeve of Blackbury is Our Robert.
