Phineas of House Guernicus was the former senior Quaesitor of the Stonehenge Tribunal. He was Quaesitor from 1078 to 1173 and senior Quaesitor from 1124.

Phineas "retired" to Magvillus at the request of his House elders in 1172 due to senility and general incompetence. A replacement, Iudicium, was sent the same year and proclaimed senior Quaesitor at the Stonehenge Tribunal of 1173.

Among Phineas' long list of failures in office were:

  • He totally ignored the requests for help from the Brotherhood of the Golden Key, and so led to the formation and dedication of its successor, the Crimson Brotherhood
  • He failed to take a stand against Stephen fleeing the Order when he lost his Gift.
