Orvyn of Whitby was a hedgemage soothsayer who was murdered by Seleucus in an infernal ritual, which left a slight infernal aura around Orvyn's hut. Sandre has his skull, and uses it to speak with Orvyn's spirit. The details of these initial conversations are part of the story Trail of the White Wizard.
