Mantle of the Black Knight

The Mantle of the Black Knight is a fine quality arming jacket (a padded jacket worn under mail or other armor, which counts as partial padded armor), permanently enchanted with a Doublet of Impenetrable Silk effect.

The enchanted jacket has a Protection of +4 and a Load of 2. It may be worn alone or with armor; if worn with armor, ignore its Load because the Load of the armor normally includes that of an arming jacket.

This item is otherwise identical to the covenant's Armor Tunics.

James made this jacket in Autumn 1196 to replace one of the armor tunics, which was destroyed in the story Here Be Dragons.
