Old Bryna

Old Bryna is some kind of faerie-aligned genius loci near the covenant of Stranggore. She appears as a seven-foot-high flowstone formation on the wall of a small cave.

Pact with Stranggore

Edmund Brightspear, a tenth-century magus of Stranggore, struck a pact between Old Byrna and the covenant. She agreed to keep hostile creatures from passing through the trod. The magi agreed to keep people from settling within sight of a certain stone near her cave.

Godwyn reluctantly helped Old Bryna in the story Otho's Children by destroying a holy shrine alongside a nearby stream that was sapping her strength. This did not fully restore the pact between Stranggore and the faerie, because there are still mortals settled on the land that was supposed to be reserved for her. Since Old Byrna's cave is near the bishop's forest, the surrounding area is lightly settled -- by serfs of the Bishop of Wells.

Powers

Old Byrna controls access to a faerie trod. In her cave is an enchanted pool that immediately heals any Light Wounds of those who drink from it.

The tips of stalactites from Old Byrna's cave contain Imaginem vis, though it would be unwise to collect such without her permission.
