What he does?

Simon struggles with his place within society as a wizard and a scholar. He seeks to do right by his guardian angel while hiding his faith as a devout muslim. He wants acceptance by his peers and is a prolific letter writer with many and varied contacts.

Why he does it?

He love astronomy. He wishes to do right and honor the Gift God has given him. He wants to find new things and new ideas.

What made him do it?

As a member of House Baux, Simon did not fit in at court and was raised by his tutor. The Gift is more common in his noble family and once his talents manifested he was sent to a covenant near Valencia where he studied astronomy. There he learned Arabic and was awaken to Islam. His Gauntlet, a viva voce, was to defend his tractatus on astronomy.

What do people think of him?

He is known as the scholarly cousin of the Count of Baux who keeps a wide range of correspondences and knows strange things.

What are his habits?

He prays five times a day at sunrise, midday, afternoon, sunset, and night. He likes to speak 'Simonism' for example 'a good beating never hurt anyone.' He promotes his absent minded erudite persona.

What are his Talents?

Astronomy, written correspondences, and oddly enough fire abjuration. He knows spells that can help the sick.

What does he like?

He enjoys his correspondences. He has a sweet tooth. He enjoys living well though he does not indulge in drink as his faith requires.

He does not care for zealots or those who exploit the less fortunate. He avoids going to church as it makes him uncomfortable.
