As Godwyn, Thomas, and Eustace return from Bath, they spy a magical blizzard over Barstow. They arrive to find that Eustace's dad was lured into the storm by cries of help from his son. They follow the tracks of a dwarf to a grove in Mericas' Wood. There they catch the Dwarf Jester who tries to flee but is grabbed by Godwyn. He confesses and offers to make good. He invites them to drink which Godwyn does and is transformed into a tree. While he gloats and dances around, Godwyn uses his Heartbeast power to return to man form. He stops dancing and admits defeat. He tells of how the Abbot reneged on his deal not to rebuild on the Tor, and while the Lord of the Hunt was trapped, they built a church. The jester on behalf of the Lady of the Wood attempts to get the party to install a faerie stone into the church on Glastonbury Tor, but they are not interested in his offers. Beaten in the negotiations, he provides a salve to undo the magic and slinks off. Godwyn shrinks the stone and they return Eustace's dad and bury the stone on the grounds of Stranggore. Godwyn also gets one dose/pawn of Entwine.

Later Godwyn spies another storm rampaging across the forest heading northwest. Argus confirms its a Faerie magic and Godwyn goes with Agnes and George to investigate. They chase the storm until they run into Mericas who explains that he was given a storm worm's Name on condition he create a storm over Barstow. He claims not to know of the kidnapping and apologizes. He admits that he lost control of the worm and asked for help getting it back. They catch up with the worm, a floating furry ten foot long snake with fin like claws, which turns to attack. George, inadvertently enchanted by Godwyn to be invisible, charges and lays a heavy wound upon the beast. Then surprisingly, Anges throws a stone which lodges in the beast throat as its about to unleash a gale and blows the top of its head off (OoC an attack roll of 46!). Amazed they split the vis and skin the beast which is like a ten foot long white mink skin. They return and tell tales of Georges proweness.
