Notable Events
A group of more than a dozen mounted ghostly warriors appeared at the covenant, seeking something that was inside. They were stopped by the Aegis of the Hearth but menaced anyone trying to enter or leave. Before long they began harassing the village of Barstow and burned one of the outlying cottages.
While investigating the ghosts' appearance, Sandre and Caballus had a surprisingly cordial visit with the Bishop of Wells, who seemed very pleased to receive a visit from two magi.
Caballus then suggested the magi cast a second Aegis around the village: a plan to which Merewen readily agreed. There was a short scuffle as the ghostly warriors tried to interfere with the ritual; Bloody Bill was wounded by a phantom arrow and Edgar the Good bravely, but ineffectually, tried to cleave one of the ghosts in twain with his bill hook.
Agnes broke into Sandre's sanctum in a well-intended but perhaps not well-considered ploy to hide the item the ghosts were after. She earned a reprimand from Merewen and a season of service to Sandre as compensation for breaking into Sandre's lab.
