Winifred

Winifred in contrast to her apprentice Gwendolyn is shrewd and old. She reminded James of Merewyn though he would never say so because she's a hedge witch. She appears to be the leader of a Coven of thirteen witches living in New Forest and is a member of House Ex Miscellanea. She lives in the village of Eldergrove a small hunting village within a Royal Forest.
