The covenant of Stranggore is haunted by numerous ghosts who have accumulated since the covenant moved to its current site in 1067.

The Ghost of Charles
Charles was a former autocrat of Stranggore. Brian the Mad seems to think Charles is his living assistant; Charles thinks the same about Brian.
The Ghost of Lady Elinore
Lady Elinore was a Norman lady who found refuge at the covenant after escaping from a nunnery. She was the covenant's diplomat and spokeswoman for several years in the early 1100's. Legend says she took her own life at a young age for unrequited love.
The Ghost of Matthew
Matthew was a manservant. He was a strong man, but not a fighter. He cared deeply about the covenant and the magi and knows every stone of the castle -- some believe he helped to build it. His ghost is prone to fits of rage because he died a horrible death from rabies.
The Ghost of Wilfrid
Wilfrid was a Saxon warrior and blacksmith, skilled in folk magic. Communicating with him is difficult because he speaks neither Latin nor Middle English.
The Ghost of Alice
Alice is a young girl of about 15.
