Gyb the Cat

Gyb (Gilbert) is the intelligent but mute familiar of Enora ex Bonisagus. Early in his apprenticeship Duran tried to win Enora's good grace. Gyb would have none of that and quickly put him in his proper place as a apprentice. Having showed the proper respect, Gyb took him under his paw and taught him things he never shared with Aceline, Enora's first apprentice.
