The Thimble of St Gelsomina is a small silver cup that hangs suspended from a silver cord. When an arcane connection to a person is placed in the cup, which is slightly larger than a thimble, and the command word spoken, the thimble sways back and forth for a few minutes and then unerringly points in the direction of the target. It will continue pointing for as long the user desires. St Gelsomina is the patron saint of lost children, orphans, and leeks. The trigger, after placing the arcane connection in the cup, is to ask St Gelomina for assistance.

This is a scrying device, and care must be taken using it. Intended for a Hermetic master to locate his lost apprentice, the thimble could be used to locate another magus. Doing so is an infraction of the Code of Hermes. The Thimble's effect has a Penetration of 6.
