Junior was the covenant's "doorkeeper" (chief guard) until old age forced him to retire in Winter 1195. He is now the Master of the Armory and keeps the key to the vault where the covenant keeps the enchanted arms and armor.

Junior is maintained by AndrewG.

Description

"Junior" was 60 years old at the start of the Saga. He gained his nickname when he was the youngest fighting grog in Stranggore.

Junior is proud to wear the livery of Stranggore as the last of its elite guards. He is a veteran of many adventures and battles and knows a great deal about the legends of the area -- having participated in several of them himself.

He is an old curmudgeon and, unlike most grogs, he is perfectly willing to criticize magi to their faces.

Junior's real name is Paul Fuller, though no one in the covenant calls him by it.

Retirement

In Winter 1195, Junior suffered his third Aging Crisis. He contracted pneumonia and gout. Although he survived, Argus declared him too infirm to continue his duties as a guardsman of Stranggore.

Junior still lives in a cottage on the covenant grounds. He has the ceremonial title of Master of the Armory and holds the keys to the armory. It is his duty to see that the weapons and armor of the covenant are well maintained. He also sometimes helps to train the grogs, mostly in the Spring and Summer when his gout doesn't bother him as much.

Relationships

Sometimes rival of Brian the Mad for authority in the covenant. Curmudgeonly mentor of Eustace and Joseph.

Stories

Character Sheet

Since Junior is a grog, he's fair game for anyone to look at.
