The Lantern of Unshadowed Vision is a large, but movable, iron wrought lantern with glass on all sides and on the bottom. It has a chain and hook on the top and is easy to hang in any of the labs. This lantern twice a day can become a source of light equal to a cloudy day.

Study Bonus

The Lantern adds +1 to lab totals which use either Imaginem or a lab text.

Location

Sandre keeps this lantern in his laboratory, but it is covenant property and any magus can request its use. It could even be taken on adventures, in principle.

History

There are four covenants in the Stonehenge Tribunal called the Illuminati: Stranggore, Blackthorn, Cad Gadu, and the Nameless Covenant. Each of them possesses a similar lantern, created shortly after the Stonehenge Tribunal joined the Order. According to legend, as long as each of the covenants kept their magical lantern burning, the bonds of brotherhood among them would remain strong.

At the start of the Saga, the magi knew nothing of the Lantern's historical significance or the prophecy connected with it. Sandre found it sitting disused in the corner of his laboratory when he moved in.

Effect: CrIg 11. Lamp Without Flame (CrIg 10), +1 2 uses/day. 2 build points.
