Mary the Miller's Daughter is the wife of Eustace. As her sobriquet implies, she is the daughter of the miller in Shepton Mallet, a stern man who doesn't approve of Eustace.
Mary came to live with Eustace in Spring 1204, first dwelling with him in the village and then moving to the covenant when he took over the job of Sandres' shield grog.
Mary is nurse to Sandre's children.
