Sir Penaire is a faerie knight. William Robert recovered his stolen heart from Lady Ciertina during the story, The Shortest Day. Sir Penaire owes William a debt of honor.
Sir Penaire is three feet tall and rides a buck. Despite his size, there is nothing comical about him. He is brave, honorable, and fierce in battle. He is clad in fine bronze scale mail and armed with a lance and sword.
